One worried boyfriend has turned to crowdfunding site GoFundMe to save his relationship.
Yep, this is love in the 21st century. Ain’t it grand?
Azel Prather Jr. is worried because his girlfriend and her mates are off to Miami for Spring Break.
Despite insisting his relationship is fine – actually it’s ‘great’ – Azel knows what goes down on Spring Break.
He writes on his crowdfunding page: ‘If you know anything about Miami, you know that she shouldn’t go without a chaperone.’ Yeah, he’s a keeper.
Just a few weeks before Prather headed out to Miami, he posted this image of him and his girlfriend, Marissa

So, he asked people to help a guy out.
He explained: ‘We have a great thing going and I would hate to see it go down the drain for a little sand and sun. If you can find it in your heart to donate ANYTHING to help save my relationship I would greatly appreciate it. I just need a round trip flight.
‘I will be staying wherever she lays her head, eating whatever she eats, and overseeing all parties and fun activity for the duration of the trip,’ he added, which doesn’t sound sinister at all.
Despite quite a few negative comments on his page – along the lines of ‘what a douche’ and ‘how pathetic’ – amazingly, Azel has beaten his fundraising target after his desperate plea was shared over 2,000 times.
He’s now raised $340 for his roundtrip – $40 over his original target. Let’s hope he uses that extra $40 to buy his girlfriend and her mates a round of drinks.
And while he’s out there, maybe he can start working on those trust issues.
