ANGRY DINER: Jamie Foxx was reportedly attacked for making too much noise

Video shot by a shocked diner shows the moment actor Jamie Foxx was attacked during a mass brawl at a swanky Hollywood restaurant.

The 49-year-old was reportedly outside in the patio area of celeb hotspot Catch in West Hollywood on Saturday night (January 7) when the incident occured.

It is believed that a man approached Foxx and friends, accusing them of making too much noise before becoming aggressive.

TMZ reports that the man allegedly told the star: “You don't want to mess with me. I'm from New York.”

Witnesses at the upmarket establishment said the disagreement turned violent after the man lunged at Foxx.

Some reports even suggested that the attacker managed to pull the veteran actors down onto a table during the assault.

Foxx is believed to have restrained the man using self-defence techniques to bring the altercation to and end before the attacker was thrown out of the restaurant.

Grainy footage from inside the building shows the chaotic scene unfolding while voices can be heard repeatedly yelling: “Calm down!”

Fellow Hollywood A-listers Jerry Bruckheimer and Cuba Gooding Jr are also believed to have been dining at the restaurant during the incident.
